Farming is at the heart of what makes West Newbury special – 4/1/26

In speaking with residents, it’s clear that our farms are a cherished part of our town’s identity. They are also a vital piece of what sets us apart in the Merrimack Valley. Preserving and supporting our agricultural heritage is essential to maintaining the character and quality of life we all value.

That’s why I strongly support our local farming community. I believe in the principles of the Right to Farm Act. This ensures that our farmers can continue their important work without unnecessary obstacles. When our farms succeed, our entire community benefits.

In a recent conversations, I discussed important roles in West Newbury. Farms play a critical role in keeping it strong and vibrant. Local businesses also contribute to its uniqueness and strength.

If you are a farmer or local business owner, I want to hear from you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with your thoughts, concerns, or ideas. I am committed to working together to support and strengthen our community.

Together, we can guarantee that West Newbury continues to thrive—while honoring the traditions that make it home.
